I paid for both frontpqge abd Office 2003 some time ago and have the original Cd registered to me. Office back then had seven compnents bdir not include Frontpage. Thats why I paid for Frontpage 2000.
Now when I try to upgrade Frontpage to 2003 versin on microsoft web site I am told that I need to upgrade Office which includes no Frontpage.
I donwloaded the huge file for Office and when I installed it the insatlaltion progress window stops after a few sequences than tells me that this upgrade was already installed !!! Checking the Office system on program window it does NOT include Frontpage. Checking on just buying Office through retailers I found that it costs around $395. So Gates ripped me off again. Is there a consumer protection law that would force him to cough up an upgrade which I feel I am entitle to?

OK, I know this probably isn't responsive to your specific question, but....I know of only one way to avoid being ripped off by Sir Gates, and that's simply to stop buying his products. Never send a dime to Microsoft. It can be a bit of a wrenching transition to pull yourself away from Windows and Office, but once you've made that one-time investment, the benefits (and savings) are forever.
