A lot of people are hooked on email, and this works to Microsoft's advantage because they present Outlook as the solution (!!) to every problem faced by project teams. I, of course, switched to Thunderbird a couple years ago and have never looked back, but I think there is a bigger issue to consider: the junk notion that email is the best/only way to share documents and stuff within project teams. I have been using something called Kerika for one of my group projects and its worked out to be a pretty good alternative to using email. Anyone else have similar experiences/views? |
